Work has resumed at the Lafarge-Holcim cement plant in Saint-Pierre-la-Cour, after an eight-day strike. Discussions with site management resulted in working conditions and salaries. An action plan started this Thursday morning with employees from each department.
“We are satisfied but we are still waiting for concrete results on the ground, explains Laurent Carrilero, CFDT union delegate. But there, we still feel a dynamic management and a consideration. It remains to be controlled because everything will not happen overnight and we are aware of that.”
The employees particularly wanted to review certain processes to have a correct supply of parts. The Saint-Pierre-la-Cour site had not experienced such a major strike for eight years.
