The strike movement which has been disrupting the operation of the Mont-Saint-Michel abbey since the Christmas holidays has ended, reported Sunday January 14 France Bleu Cotentin and France Bleu Normandie. Agents demanded better working conditions and greater salary recognition. An agreement was reached on Saturday January 13 with the management of the Center des monuments nationaux, indicates the CGT on the social network X, after ten days of strike.

Two additional positions created

After several unsuccessful negotiations, the agents even voted last Monday for a strike every Saturday. One of the problems denounced by the mobilized inter-union: the lack of personnel which was deteriorating working conditions, according to it. The agreement reached involves maintaining and replacing the current workforce and the creation of two additional positions: one in the abbey shop, the other as a technical agent.

The unions also obtained a rebalancing of salary differences with 50% of the value sharing bonus to certain agents. Management commitments have also been made according to the unions so that staff who speak foreign languages ​​are better recognized. More in-depth discussions are also due to take place at the end of January on working conditions.
