End of series for the scrap metal thieves of the Bedous recycling center

Two recycling center thieves were arrested in Vallé d’Aspe on the night of Saturday February 12 to Sunday February 13. These two men aged 39 and 48 were caught in the bag at the Bedous recycling center by the gendarmes. The oldest is suspected of 15 metal thefts in this Bedous recycling center since last December. His wife was also arrested over the weekend. They are Romanians who live in Spain.

One or two flights per week to Bedous

The team had become accustomed to this Bedous recycling centre. The series begins on December 1. The team will do one expedition a week, sometimes two, any day, with a utility vehicle. He lowered the fence of the recycling center before going to help himself in the dumpster of metals, and also in the deposits of household appliances. Fifteen flights in all, plus one at Lédeuix. They were still relatively cautious, since they sometimes took the trouble to go to the Basque Country to cross the border, rather than Somport. The goods were then resold to scrap metal in Spain.

Videos and hideouts

The Bedous gendarmerie, with the reinforcement of the Oloron company, carried out the investigation from the CCTV footage. Once the authors have been identified, the soldiers hid for several nights near the dumpster. It paid off with this flagrante delicto overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The three were released after their custody. They will be tried on September 1. They are unknown to French justice.
