The capital, its inner suburbs (Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne) as well as Seine-et-Marne and Essonne have returned to green, the forecaster indicated in an update at around 1 a.m. on Sunday, August 18. “The disturbance that crossed the Paris region is now only causing light rain”notes Météo-France, justifying the “early termination” of this episode of vigilance.

“The heaviest rainfall, which is currently affecting the east of Seine-et-Marne, is falling in areas that were not previously affected”adds the public institution. Between 50 and 80 mm of rain were recorded in the east and south of the affected area. “Notable observations include 76 mm in Brétigny-sur-Orge (Essonne), 61 mm in Bry (Val-de-Marne)”, specifies the meteorological agency. As a result of these heavy rains, the prefect of Seine-Saint-Denis had called on the inhabitants of the department to limit their movements and to “caution”in a message posted on the social network X.
