Enbridge boss Al Monaco to retire in early 2023

(Calgary) Enbridge CEO Al Monaco to retire on May 1er January and will be replaced by current chairman of the board, Greg Ebel, the company announced Monday.

Mr. Monaco was named chief executive of Enbridge in 2012.

Mr. Ebel has been chairman of the board since 2017. He was previously president and chief executive officer of the American Spectra Energy, which was acquired by Enbridge.

He noted that Mr. Monaco had led Enbridge through a period of unprecedented growth.

Mr. Monaco will act as an advisor to help Mr. Ebel with the transition until 1er march.

Enbridge said a new independent chairman of the board would be appointed before Mr. Ebel takes over the reins of the company.
