The candidate for the legislative elections in the Nontronnais, Guillaume Gardillou, has been officially excluded from La République en Marche. This former policeman, ex-director of cabinet at the town hall of Limoges, is running in the third constituency of the Dordogne against the candidate officially invested by the presidential majority, the outgoing Modem deputy Jean-Pierre Cubertafon.
Guillaume Gardillou does not feel “not concerned”
Guillaume Gardillou is one of the 91 members of LaREM excluded for dissent everywhere in France. The executive office of the party had seized the commission of the conflicts of the party on May 16, which returned its decision this Wednesday evening. Guillaume Gardillou affirms on his posters that he presents himself “for a presidential majority”, ensuring that he will sit in the majority group if elected. He admits having taken his card at La République en Marche for a little over a year.
Contacted, the candidate ensures that this exclusion does not call into question his candidacy. Guillaume Gardillou affirms that he does not feel “not concerned” by this decision.
Jacqueline Dubois is not excluded from the party
Another candidacy could have passed as a dissident in the Dordogne: that of Jacqueline Dubois, the outgoing deputy of Sarladais, who ran for a second term when the majority had invested Jérôme Peyrat in his place for the legislative elections. She had harsh words against her rival at the time, claiming to have been “betrayed”. However, she was not excluded, because Jérôme Peyrat withdrew his candidacy and the majority did not invest anyone in the constituency instead.
According to Dominique Gaschard, the party referent for the Dordogne, “she is no longer a candidate against an invested candidate”, which justifies that there is no exclusion procedure against him. Jacqueline Dubois also confirms to France Bleu Périgord that she is still inserted in La République en Marche.
