[EN IMAGES] 22-year-old woman found dead in her Quebec home

The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) is investigating the death of a 22-year-old woman who was found dead in a Quebec City apartment last night.

The police were called to intervene around 10:30 p.m. in a building on rue Boisseau in the St-Sauveur district for a person whose relatives had not heard from them for a few days.

Once inside the apartment, the police quickly found the woman dead.

Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit were dispatched to the scene to better understand the circumstances of the death.

According to initial information, it was not a natural death. The SPVQ does not rule out any hypothesis related to the event, which is considered an unexplained death. The identity of the victim is still unknown.

The Forensic Identification Unit is also on site to assess the scene and the mobile command post has been used to facilitate work on the ground.
