The latest episode of Who Wants to Be My Partner? showcased innovative pitches, including Marie Rocchisani’s customizable vegan lipstick and Eva Ngalle’s app TI3RS, designed to assist women facing domestic violence. Ngalle’s heartfelt story resonated with investors, leading to significant funding for her impactful project aimed at fostering safer communication for affected women.
The Exciting Kickoff of 2025 for M6
The year 2025 commenced with an exciting wave for M6, highlighted by the highly anticipated premiere of the 20th season of Love is in the Meadow. Karine Le Marchand took center stage to introduce the stories of 15 farmers who are on a quest to find love over the next few months. Simultaneously, Stéphane Rotenberg embarked on an adventurous journey in Africa with ten pairs of contestants for the new season of Beijing Express, aptly titled The Road of Legendary Tribes, airing every Thursday during prime time. Just a day prior, viewers were treated to the fifth season of Who Wants to Be My Partner?, which introduced a new lineup of investors that left many viewers intrigued. Alongside familiar faces like Marc Simoncini and Anthony Bourbon, newcomers Alice Lhabouz, Jean-Michel Karam, and Julian Jacob made their television debuts, sparking a flurry of discussions.
Innovative Solutions on Who Wants to Be My Partner?
The second episode, aired on February 12—just two days before Valentine’s Day—showcased some heartwarming narratives that led to groundbreaking inventions. One standout was Marie Rocchisani, who launched Maison M, a brand that offers a rechargeable, customizable, and vegan lipstick. “Growing up with my stylish aunt, who had an overwhelming collection of lipsticks, inspired me,” shared the Rouennaise entrepreneur with the investors. Each lipstick case accommodates up to three shades, and she even developed an AI tool to recommend the perfect colors for individual skin tones.
Another remarkable moment came from a Savoy woman who introduced an innovative app aimed at aiding women affected by domestic violence. Drawing from her own experiences, she created TI3RS, designed to facilitate safer communication between ex-partners and promote a calmer environment for families. This app provides a secure digital platform where women can maintain boundaries with potentially violent ex-partners, featuring filters for abusive language and options for discreet notifications, all while preserving user confidentiality through generated fictitious phone numbers.
Eva Ngalle, the creator of this app, shared her motivations with lyon-entreprises.com. “I developed this application because I experienced these challenges firsthand. It was important for me to create this resource for other women who are victims,” she conveyed passionately to the investors on Who Wants to Be My Partner?. Her heartfelt story resonated deeply with the panel. “I aim to secure 100,000 euros for 12% of the equity to support as many individuals as possible facing similar adversities,” she explained, recounting her personal journey. “After my son’s birth, I lost my job at a mutual insurance company during my separation. Fear of encountering my ex-partner at work haunted me,” she recounted, eliciting strong emotions from those present.
Ultimately, four investors chose to back her project. “Stories like yours are why we do this work,” Marc Simoncini affirmed, offering to invest in TI3RS. “I will stand by you for this important initiative,” he assured her. “Your journey from a challenging past to a hopeful future is truly inspiring, and often the best projects emerge from adversity,” added Eric Larchevêque, expressing admiration without making a commitment initially. Jean-Michel Karam invited three colleagues to join him, pledging 200,000 euros for a 30% stake in the company to help Eva Ngalle accelerate her mission.
The deal was finalized on-air, and according to Eva Ngalle, the app has the potential for global impact. “I have grand international aspirations,” she concluded, expressing gratitude to her new partners.
