After 15 years of hospital experience, Noreline Modon decided to change paths and become a community manager. Encounter.
Noreline Modon was only 18 when she left her native Guadeloupe for metropolitan France. Her first job as a hospital nurse was a vocation at the time. “I never imagined doing anything else. I saw myself evolving in care”, she testifies. In 2016, she obtained her nursing degree. But over time, she sees her working conditions deteriorate in the hospital. “The nurse’s job is to talk a lot with the patient. But we don’t have that time anymore. […] In the end, I was a little disgusted”explains Noreline Modon.
Equal or even higher pay
At the age of 34, after 15 years of hospital experience, Noreline Modon has begun her retraining to become a community manager, an activity that she will be able to practice full-time by teleworking. “With this new job, I will be completely free in all my movements, in my time. I will be in control of my quality of life”, she says. This new job will allow her to obtain a salary equal to or even higher than the 2,000 euros she currently receives. This young mother has given herself until the end of the year to give availability and leave the hospital.
