emotion in the ski resort

After stress and victory, place for emotion. Tess Ledeux won the first silver medal of her life this morning at the Beijing Olympics in big air freestyle skiing. The first, we hope, of a long series for La Plagnarde, “full of talent and deserving” as you can hear in La Plagne, in the winter sports resort.

“She is never satisfied”

Nelly Ledeux is a fulfilled mother. His daughter has just put her first name on the French freestyle ski charts. If Tess was in tears, inconsolable, because she saw the gold slip away for a few pointsNelly reassures her daughter: “The performance is incredible. Her sadness despite the silver medal? That of a fighter who is never happy.” She waits impatiently for Tess to return. “It’s still a competition where she learned. She has to get back there quickly and we meet again, because it’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. She isolated herself before leaving , she went to China. It’s been too long since we’ve seen each other and we’re not used to not seeing each other for so long” reacts with emotions Nelly Ledeux.

“The Pride of a Club”

Timothée Hagnerelle, coach in charge of the freestyle section of the Club des Sports de La Plagne was live this morning on France Bleu Pays de Savoie. It’s a whole club, a whole resort that is proud of its nugget : “She was on top throughout this Big Air event. China’s Ailing Gu landed a jump she had never done on snow and that made the difference. But hey, it’s a medal Olympic, she had come there for that. Tess has had time to mature, to train, to make her mark in the World Cup. She is on the right path.”
