They climb the steps to the rhythm of rock and roll music! As the award ceremony is fast approaching, and the 75th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival will end on May 28, the public continues to discover the feature films in competition. There is one, precisely, which makes event on Wednesday 25: it is the projection of the film Elvis by Baz Luhrmann – the genius behind Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby –a sternly swinging biopic based on the life and work of the King himself.
Will this daring project win the Palme d’Or, just like the horrific Titanium, by Julia Ducournau last year? To find out, it will still take a little patience. To have the chance to discover the feature film too, moreover, since it will be released, in France, on June 22! Made up as Elvis Presley, larger than life, comedian Austin Butler – The Dead don’t die, Once Upon a time in Hollywood, The Carrie Diaries – tackles two decades of the life of the legendary singer… who had himself, during his lifetime, shot in around thirty feature films! The images will focus, more specifically, on the tense relationship he had during this time with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker – played here by Tom Hanks.

Emmanuelle Béart, whose life has been rocked by music, was naturally present on the scarlet carpet of the Palais des Festivals, dedicated to the screening of Baz Luhrmann’s film.
