“Emmanuel Macron would have every place in a mobilization like this,” said Ian Brossat, spokesperson for the PCF, on Friday November 10 on franceinfo, while a march was organized this Sunday against anti-Semitism.

The Communist Party called for demonstrations. “It’s important, we cannot have an increase in anti-Semitic acts and remarks on one side and a lack of reaction on the other”communist senator from Paris. “In recent years, we have let too much slip away” regarding anti-Semitic acts. “It is important to react, to say stop and to mobilize in the streets”insists Ian Brossat.

We do not yet know if Emmanuel Macron will participate in this march. “It is up to the President of the Republic to decide”, but what “is certain is that we need a general mobilization of the entire republican arc against anti-Semitism.” However, he considered “that the extreme right in general has no place in a demonstration against anti-Semitism.”

Jean-Luc Mélenchon declared on X (ex-Twitter) that the “friends of unconditional support for the massacre have their meeting”in an allusion to “unconditional support” brought by Yaël Braun-Pivet to Israel. “It is very serious to consider that mobilizing against anti-Semitism means supporting the current policy of the Israeli far-right governmentsays Ian Brossat. I hate Netanyahu, I hate the policies he pursues and that doesn’t stop me from speaking out against anti-Semitism.”
