All ballots have been counted. Emmanuel Macron won the second round of the presidential election, Sunday April 24, with 58.55% of the vote, according to the final results communicated by the Ministry of the Interior. The National Rally candidate, Marine Le Pen, won 41.45% of the vote. Abstention stands at 28.01% of registered voters, a record since 1969. The number of blank votes reached 4.57% of the votes and 1.62% for the invalid votes.

Emmanuel Macron is down nearly eight points and lost two million votes compared to the second round of the 2017 presidential election. For his part, Marine Le Pen garners more than 2.5 million additional votes andn five years. The far-right candidate comes first in 28 French departments, against 77 for the candidate of La République en Marche.
