Emmanuel Macron will present Thursday March 30 the plan to improve the management of water, a resource threatened by droughts and global warming, in Savines-le-Lac (Hautes-Alpes), the Elysée announced on Wednesday.
Emmanuel Macron will present Thursday March 30 the “water plan” of the government in Savines-le-Lac, in the Hautes-Alpes, announced, Wednesday, the Elysee to France 3 Provence-Alpes. This will be the first trip of the Head of State to the region for two months, in a context of political and social crisis around the pension reform. “It will propose a series of measures aimed at redefining (..) our water management policy to adapt it to the challenges of climate change”said the Elysée.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Minister for Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, Christophe Béchu, as well as the Minister for Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Marc Fesneau.
The plan includes measures to increase the rate of reuse of wastewater, less than 1% in France against 8% in Italy, 14% in Spain and even 85% in Israel.
