Emmanuel Macron will speak on Tuesday June 11 to detail the axes and themes of the presidential camp’s campaign before the legislative elections, franceinfo learned from a government source. This speech will take the form of a press conference, according to a majority official at franceinfo. Lhe head of state triggered early legislative elections on Sunday by announcing the dissolution of the National Assembly after the results of the 2024 European elections.

According to the final results published Monday morning by the Ministry of the Interior, the National Rally, whose list is led by Jordan Bardella, obtained 31.37% of the votes while the majority list led by Valérie Hayer (Renaissance) is only 14.6%. It is followed by the PS-Place Publique list led by Raphaël Glucksmann which obtained 13.83% of the votes.

The head of state therefore puts his relative majority back into play to everyone’s surprise. These early legislative elections will take place on June 30 for the first round and July 7 for the second. This decision raises many questions about the strategy that the President of the Republic wants to put in place. Emmanuel Macron will therefore be able on Tuesday to detail the axes and themes of the presidential camp’s campaign to win these elections.
