Emmanuel Macron will be the guest of France 2 on Wednesday October 12. The Head of State will speak in an interview on the public service channel, a little over a week after the return to parliament in the National Assembly, where his government, which does not have an absolute majority, must try to find compromises to pass its plans for reforming unemployment insurance and pensions.
The President of the Republic will also speak against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine. While the conflict with Russia continues, the threat of a serious energy crisis hangs over France as winter approaches. A perspective that has led the government to present a vast energy sobriety plan.
The last appearance of the Head of State on the public channel dates back to April 21. Emmanuel Macron answered questions from Anne-Sophie Lapix in France 2’s “20 Hours” television news as part of the presidential campaign. He had already faced the journalist, accompanied by Gilles Bouleau for the private channel TF1, on October 14, 2020, at the Elysée Palace, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
