The President of the Republic is visiting the Cher this Thursday, October 27. Emmanuel Macron must arrive in the morning in Bourges, in the company of the Minister for the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, and the Secretary of State in charge, in particular of Universal National Service, Sarah El-Hairy. The Head of State will begin his visit with the Technical Preparatory Military School of Bourges, which opened its doors in January 2022. He will notably attend a military ceremony with the presentation of the school’s flag. Emmanuel Macron will then discuss with the students at the end of the morning, before having lunch with them.
At the beginning of the afternoon, the President of the Republic will visit the test center of the General Directorate of Armaments in order to inaugurate the renovated firing point of the Caesar guns, which are among the military arsenal that France supplies to Ukraine. He will then go to the site of the Berruyère company Nexter in La Chapelle-Saint-Ursin, in order to discover the backstage of the ammunition factory. Finally, the Head of State will end his day with a visit to the MBDA arms factory in Bourges.
Emmanuel Macron’s last visit to the Cher was to Vierzon and Châteaumeillant in December 2021. At the time, the president was present to talk about the revitalization of city centers.
