>> “National Council for Refoundation”: the reference to the National Council of Resistance is a “provocation”, reacts Catherine Perret of the CGT

“Emmanuel Macron’s second term has barely begun when we can’t get enough of this new communication trick”criticizes François-Xavier Bellamy who calls on the President of the Republic to start “by respecting what already exists within our institutions, our Constitution”. The head of state “tells us: ‘I’m going to stop deciding everything on my own, now we’re going to get into a big permanent debate’, but Emmanuel Macron is on the verge of inventing the National Assembly!”quips the MEP.

About this body clearly inspired by the National Council of Resistance, François-Xavier Bellamy speaks of a “rather mediocre political recovery” and adds: “There is something a little indecent in trying to transpose such an era into our own”. According to the elected LR, if our time is “in the face of immense challenges” and “a very deep crisis”that “has nothing to do with what the resistance fighters of the Second World War had to face”.

“Emmanuel Macron has neutralized the National Assembly”further denounces the MEP who develops: “While he is having fun with this Council that everyone is going to talk about, that we are going to comment on ad infinitum, he is asking the future deputies of his majority to sign a charter by which they undertake to support whatever he decides”. François-Xavier Bellamy refers to the five-year terms of Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande who were to “count with parliamentarians who had a thickness, a political independence”.
