Emmanuel Macron said that those who pose “limits” to the commitment to support Ukraine in the face of the Russian invasion “do not choose peace but choose defeat.” Nicolas Dupont-Aignan believes that the head of state “is like a narcissistic kid playing with a box of matches near a powder keg.”

According to the Debout la France MP, there is no prospect of peace and agreement in Emmanuel Macron’s speech, on the contrary, “he fuels the war”. “It is madness for France to put its finger in this gear, we must completely foresee a hypothesis of peace”. He mentions the need to find a compromise with the “withdrawal of Russian troops”, “a ceasefire”, “the neutrality of Ukraine”And “demilitarization”.

Nicolas Dupont-Aignan also voted against the bilateral security agreement with Ukraine in the National Assembly on Tuesday. He explains that for him “It is an agreement which aims to bring Ukraine into NATO and make peace in this part of the European continent impossible”.
