Traveling for the inauguration of an Olympic aquatic center in Saint-Denis, in the Paris suburbs, Emmanuel Macron claimed not to have “no doubt” as to the fact that Russia sought to disrupt the organization of the Olympic Games, “including in informational terms”suggesting that Paris will not be ready.

Russia “feeds every day the fact that we could not do this or that, so it would be a risk”estimated the head of state. “That’s also why we must hold on”he declared, also denouncing “baroque and threatening comments” from the Russians after a meeting between the French and Russian defense ministers the day before.

The Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu spoke with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu for the purpose of transmitting “useful information” on the attack in Moscow. In the report of this interview, the Kremlin says “hope” that the French secret services are not involved in this attack which left 144 dead on March 22. “It’s ridiculous, it’s saying that France could be behind, that the Ukrainians are behind… It all makes no sense. But it’s a manipulation of information which is part of the arsenal of war as it is used today by Russia”concluded Emmanuel Macron.
