Emmanuel Macron calls for “resuming negotiations for their release again and again”

“The French nation is determined that (…) all the hostages from the terrorist attacks of October 7 are released,” declared the French president.

“France does not abandon its children.” In a video published on social networks on Saturday January 13, Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed his determination to free the French hostages from Hamas, on the eve of the 100th day of the conflict between Israel and Hamas and at a rally in Tel Aviv in support of the hostages.. “We must resume negotiations again and again for their release. Don’t give in. Never give up. Because we will not accept any sacrifice. So, we will do everything to bring them all back”said the French president.

During his greetings to the French on December 31, the president addressed his thoughts to the families of the hostages still held by Hamas. “We do not forget them”he declared. “41 French people were murdered, and I think this evening of their families as I think of the families of our compatriots still held hostage”, added the president. Three French people are still missing.
