During a telephone interview on Tuesday, November 1, Emmanuel Macron and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned a “international conference intended to support the civil resilience of the country throughout the winter period”. France intends to organize it on December 13, in Paris, by bringing together donors and various other actors.

“Preparatory work with Ukraine’s other partners will be launched soon for this purpose”specifies the Elysée, announcing in addition “a bilateral conference aimed at mobilizing French companies”the day before, December 12. Emmanuel Macron finally reiterated to his counterpart “the full mobilization of France to increase as soon as possible its military support for Ukraine, in particular concerning anti-aircraft defence”.

Since March 2022, as part of a two billion dollar aid released in support of Ukraine, France has already provided several thousand tons of emergency aid (food, health, civil security) , housing rehabilitation equipment, emergency bridges and, very soon, several dozen electric generators.

Within this envelope, Paris has also supported nearly 70 million euros for NGOs and international organizations mobilized on the ground to provide essential services to the Ukrainian population and prepare for winter.
