An operation “disproportionate”. Questioned by BFMTV, Monday April 15, the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, judged that Iran’s unprecedented attack against Israeli territory on the night of Saturday to Sunday did not fall under “the balance of violence” In the region. By deciding to strike Israel, Tehran provoked “a deep break” in the Middle East, believes the head of state, for whom these reprisals are too great.

In this case, Iran justifies the sending of more than 300 drones and missiles in the name of “self-defense”after the strike attributed to Israel which targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus (Syria). “We will do everything to avoid conflagration (…) and therefore try to convince Israel that we must not respond by escalating, but rather isolate Iran, succeed in convincing the countries of the region that Iran is a danger, increase sanctions, increase pressure on nuclear activities and then find a path to peace in the region”he added.
