Seen in the movies Troy Where Tron: Legacy, the 37-year-old American was arrested by police on January 24, 2022 for public intoxication in Tennessee. After having tried to get out of a moving car, he allegedly tried to hit one of his neighbors who ended up calling the police.
He would have first contacted the authorities around 10:30 p.m. because Garrett Hedlund was knocking on the back door of the building, visibly very drunk. When the police arrived, he allegedly refused to listen to them and acted confused and violent. He has then been taken to the station and faces a fine of 2100 dollars. His neighbor, on the other hand, refused to file a complaint. He was then released and is expected in court next March.
This is not the first time that Garrett Hedlund has had problems with alcohol and the law: in 2020, he fell asleep at the wheel and hit a car in which were a woman and her children. Fortunately, the damage was minimal, but when the police arrived, his blood alcohol level was four times higher than the average! He was later sentenced to three years probation.
