Emma and Noah at the top of the list of first names in Quebec in 2021

After being at the top of the charts from 2015 to 2018, Emma takes the lead again, while Noah passes the very popular William, without a doubt the most popular male name in Quebec over the past 20 years.

521 Emmas and 717 Noahs were born last year. We find, in second place on the list, 519 Olivia and 709 William. The first name Liam thus falls from the first to the fifth position, and Jacob makes a notable rise, from the ninth to the sixth position.

As for female first names, we find in third place Alice (508), who is on the heels of Olivia. Dethroned after a reign of ten years (2004 to 2011 and 2012-2013), Léa now occupies the eighth position.

In the novelties, note the first names Zoé (344) and Félix (484), which reappear among the first ten ranks, thus dislodging Clara and Logan from the list.
