Already winner of the first sprint event here in Östersund, Sebastian Samuelsson proved Thursday, December 2, at home, that he was the man of the moment. Untouchable on skis, the Swede only committed one shooting error. Under these conditions, it was impossible to go tickle him, even for an Emilien Jacquelin in very good shape.
Two in a row? Another stellar performance by @SebbeSamuelsson: magnificent on the tracks, almost perfect on the range!

The Frenchman, fourth in the first exercise on November 28, left like a rocket with the number 1. A risky bet but which almost paid off. A slight drop in the last lap, at the end of the course, did not allow him to compete with Samuelsson, new only yellow bib of the World Cup after this victory, which took back 20 seconds in the end.
“It’s a good race, the legs weren’t as good as last week. I’m satisfied. In terms of shooting, I tried and it’s positive”, said Jacquelin on the finish line at the microphone of the channel L’Equipe.
Quentin Fillon-Maillet, who started among the last of the pack, also put in a solid performance to climb to the third step of the podium. This beautiful group shot from the French will allow them to approach the continuation of the weekend in an excellent configuration, even if Simon Desthieux, 4th in the first sprint, was out of the shot, penalized by two shooting faults.
