Thousands of faithful came to Marseille to see him. Friday and Saturday September 23, 2023, Pope Francis was present in the Phocaean city during a visit which lasted for days. A trip during which the latter met the President of the Republic, then gave a large mass which he held at the Vélodrome stadium.
A mass attended by several public figures. Béatrice Dalle, ARielle Dombasle, Gad Elmaleh, Pascal Obispo, Natasha St-Pier, Sylvie Tellier, Laurent Voulzy, Vianney and even Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron were indeed present in the stands this Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Émile’s parents and grandparents also attended mass.

before dad comese, Marie and Colomban, the parents of little Émile who disappeared on July 8, had said that they would go to mass.
A religious event that the toddler’s grandparents didn’t miss either… During an interview once again given to Christian FamilyAnne and Philippe Vedovini also explained how he was able to get to the Vélodrome.
“It’s funny, but it all happened through this man of Muslim faith,” explained the grandfather before revealing that he and his wife were close to Rachid Zeroual, the head of a Marseille supporters club.
“We didn’t want to embarrass him by talking about the pope’s mass and our proximity. But Rachid protested: ‘I’m your friend, you have to do it! I’ve supported you from the start!'”, reported Anne Vedoveni. A beautiful gesture of friendship!
