Email users temporarily blocked due to unusual traffic

“Sorry, you were blocked”. Millions of Discord users were confronted with this message on Friday September 29, while the messaging service was experiencing a widespread outage due to “unusual traffic spikes”explained its technical department on the X platform (formerly Twitter). “We are fixing the problem!” tried to reassure Discord France.

The problem affects several regions of the world. According to the online outage tracking site Downdetector.com, France, but also the United States, Brazil, South Africa, India, and even Australia are affected. But Discord appears to be on the path to a resolution. On the site allowing you to follow the progress of the outage, the platform announced at 4:10 p.m. that a “fix has been implemented”. For users still encountering a problem, the messaging service advises “reinstall the Discord app”.
