Elton John worried about the American LGBTQ+ community

“There is a wave of anger and homophobia in the United States,” denounced Elton John, in an interview with the British magazine RadioTimes.

The singer recognized as an advocate for the rights of LGBTQ + people has expressed concern about the rise in violent incidents against people in the community in the United States.

“We seem to be backing down. And it’s spreading. It’s like a virus from which the LGBTQ + movement suffers, ”he said in this interview conducted on the sidelines of the Glastonbury festival, which is currently being held in the United Kingdom.

In this same interview, Elton John said that he could give a show in residence again, but that the next time it will not be in Las Vegas or anywhere else in the United States.

The official reason behind this decision, however, is not related to the climate denounced by the singer. His team instead indicated that he wanted to spend more time in the UK with his husband and children.
