(New York) Elon Musk will have to answer questions from Twitter lawyers for two or even three days next week, as part of the legal battle over his agreement to buy $ 44 billion from the social network, which he wants to renouncer.

The deposition will take place in private, in the offices of a law firm representing Twitter, on September 26, 27 and, “if necessary”, 28, specifies a document added to the file on Tuesday.
The purpose of such a move is, according to the site of the Delaware courts where the proceedings are taking place, to help the teams prepare for the trial by having a better idea of what the opposing party will say on the stand.
The trial is due to take place from October 17 to 21.
Elon Musk announced in April his intention to own the microblogging site, but eventually said in early July that he was terminating the deal on the grounds that the San Francisco-based company he allegedly lied about the proportion of fake accounts on its platform.
Twitter had then filed a complaint for the transaction to be completed.
The parties have, as part of the preparation for the trial, ordered dozens of people, banks or companies to come and answer questions or provide documents. The ex-boss of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, must himself be questioned on Tuesday.
