Elizabeth II weakened: this world event in which she will not participate

The health of Queen Elizabeth II continues to worry the world. After being hospitalized on the night of Wednesday 20 to Thursday 21 October at the Edward VII Private Hospital in London for “preliminary examinations”, the 95-year-old monarch had to reluctantly make a big decision: she will not travel to Glasgow on November 1 to attend COP26. An event in which she nevertheless wanted to take part, since climate issues are of great concern to her. The news was announced on October 26 on Twitter by British journalist and writer Omid Scobie.

“After being advised last week to rest at Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace announced the Queen has decided not to travel to Scotland for # COP26”, he tweeted, relaying the information from the royal palace.

Buckingham Palace shared the following post: “Her Majesty regrettably decided not to travel to Glasgow to attend the reception of COP26 on Monday November 1st. Her Majesty is disappointed that she cannot attend the reception, but she will address the assembled delegates through a recorded video message“.
