Elizabeth II: Her private jet hit by a storm, big fright for the queen!

An exceptional organization, the presence of the entire British royal family and many celebrities, two public holidays throughout the country… The festivities for the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II promise to be unforgettable! The 96-year-old queen is indeed the first monarch to reach this symbolic level and has gathered around her all her descendants, putting aside the many controversies that have scratched the image of the crown a little in recent months.

But all this was not so far from turning… into a disaster! Indeed, a few days ago, the queen left to rest, alone, in her domain of Balmoral in Scotland. Trying to save herself for the four days of the Jubilee which promise to be exhausting, the sovereign made the round trip in her private plane. Only here, returning to London on Tuesday, the plane received the order not to land.

Blocked in the air by a powerful storm, the aircraft had to wait several long minutes before finally being able to land. The Queen’s teams then congratulated the pilot, who remained calm and managed to carry out all the maneuvers to land with the utmost caution. A great fright, however, for the Queen, who then returned by car to Windsor, where she now lives.

Leaving Buckingham aside, she indeed prefers the calm of the huge castle where she will surely receive her children and grandchildren as part of the Jubilee. His reunion with Prince Harry, back in the UK after two years of scandal, and his meeting with Lilibet, his daughter, will be particularly scrutinized.

However, unfortunately we should not expect to see the Queen attend all the stages of the Jubilee: rather weak, and in particular since she caught the Covid-19, the monarch has already warned that she might miss some steps. However, we hope to see her on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the traditional Trooping the Color parade, as well as at mass, which the whole family will attend. On Saturday, she could also be at the edge of the racecourse, for an activity that she loves.

On the other hand, evenings and dinners should be done without her, so as not to tire her too much. Fortunately, she can count on the active members of the royal family: Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie or even Prince William and Kate Middleton.
