Queen Elizabeth II was due to return. But it won’t be this time yet. After spending a night in the hospital in October, having observed a period of rest of several weeks and finally having missed the COP26, Queen Elizabeth II, 95, was to reappear in public during the Remembrance ceremony, Sunday November 14 in London. But due to her state of health, the queen had to decline. “The Queen, having hurt her back, has decided that she will not be able to attend today’s Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph. Her Majesty is disappointed to miss the ceremony.”, said Buckingham Palace in a press release.
Buckingham Palace assured Thursday that the monarch had the “firm intention” to participate in this ceremony in tribute to the victims of wars, after having had to give up participating in several events in recent weeks, on the advice of his doctors. She was to attend from the balcony of the Foreign Ministry.
