The CrownNetflix’s acclaimed series about Queen Elizabeth II and her family, has temporarily halted production due to the monarch’s passing.

A spokesperson for the show said filming was halted on Friday “as a sign of respect” and will also be suspended on the day of the Queen’s funeral.
The fifth season of the series, starring Imelda Staunton as the Queen, is due to launch in November on Netflix. The streaming giant recently revealed the cast of actors who will play Prince William and his wife Kate in the sixth season, including newcomers Rufus Kampa (the Prince at age 15) and Ed McVey (the prince as an adult) and Meg Bellamy (the Duchess of Cambridge).
The series has won 22 Emmy awards so far. Last year, the fourth season of The Crown had won each of the seven awards presented to a drama series during the prestigious evening.
