On the Sunday in politics set, Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne first spoke about the attack that shook Annecy (Haute-Savoie) on Thursday June 8. Quickly after the facts, Les Républicains and the National Rally wanted to point out the excesses of immigration. The Prime Minister believes that “drawing general lessons on a fact when the investigation has just started is not necessarily the right method”. It also indicates that the government wishes “stabilize in July” the content of his immigration bill.
On the RSA, the Prime Minister wants to let the social partners discuss
Elisabeth Borne also returned to the months of tension against the backdrop of pension reform, which will come into force on 1er September, while defending the government’s position. The trade unions also want to negotiate with the government on the reform of the RSA, unemployment or even the employment of seniors. For the head of government, the priority is to “let the trade unions and employers’ organizations discuss. (…) We can look with the social partners on what topics they expect a framework from the government. It is important that everyone takes their responsibility. If there is no agreement, we can re-engage in tripartite discussions.”
