After the security section on Thursday afternoon, Élisabeth Borne presented a series of social measures for working-class neighborhoods on Friday October 27. She notably mentioned the allocation of social housing and access to employment.
In Chanteloup-les-Vignes, in Yvelines, Élisabeth Borne begins her trip in contact with children from a social center. The Prime Minister then met elected officials and local stakeholders in the city. Several subjects are on the table, with one objective: resolve problems related to housing, employment, education and discrimination. “I therefore ask the prefects to no longer settle, via the allocation of housing or the creation of accommodation places, the most precarious people in the neighborhoods which already concentrate the most difficulties.“, said the Prime Minister.
100 million euros for integration associations
The government also wants to accelerate the renovation of degraded condominiums. On the work side, an envelope of 100 million euros will be released in favor of integration associations. On the ground, the republican action force, made up of police officers and educational and judicial personnel, will be deployed to deal with social and security difficulties. This new battery of measures complements those announced Thursday afternoon, four months after the urban violence.
