The decision has not yet been made. Following a visit to the Family Planning headquarters on Wednesday June 29, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced that she would decide whether or not to submit her government to a vote of confidence after her “consultations (with the different parliamentary groups)”. If this takes place, it will be held after his general policy speech, scheduled for July 5.

Earlier in the morning, government spokeswoman Olivia Grégoire had already been forced to clarify that the government had not yet decided. At the same time, Élisabeth Borne continues her consultations with the leaders of the parliamentary groups in the National Assembly by receiving successively at Matignon André Chassaigne (PCF), Mathilde Panot (LFI) then the leader of the RN deputies, Marine Le Pen, and finally the “independents” Bertrand Pancher and Christophe Naegelen.
While waiting for her meeting with the Prime Minister, Marine Le Pen has already set the tone on Wednesday on franceinfo: “We will work in the Assembly to win the next presidential election (of 2027), because what we want is to apply our project“.
The day before, the boss of the LR group, Olivier Marleix, had opened the ball, reaffirming his opposition to “any coalition“, after having spoken with Elisabeth Borne. He had also recognized “be able to work together” on “a number of texts“, notably “the issue of purchasing power“.
