While traveling in the Marne, Thursday, November 3, Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne announced the creation of a fund of 60 million euros, which must enable the most vulnerable French people to have access to quality food.

Thursday, November 3, while traveling to the food bank in Reims, in the Marne, Elisabeth Borne announced the creation of a sustainable food aid fund. The Prime Minister promises access to quality food for the most vulnerable French people from 2023. This aid of 60 million euros will go to the major national food aid networks, but also to local projects under the aegis of the prefects of region. Elisabeth Borne clarified that the latter will be able to support initiatives between farmers and set up sustainable food vouchers.

Puzzle for the executive, the food check, initially promised by Emmanuel Macron in 2020, still does not appear in the 2023 budget. It was to allow low-income households to buy fresh and local products. But given the complexity of the system, the government announced in June that it would merge into an inflation check, simpler and distributed at the start of the school year.
