On August 23, TF1 launched its new edition of “Mask Singer” with great fanfare. On the program for this first bonus: Chantal Ladesou pulled out her claws against a slightly too curious Camille Combal, and Marianne James was eliminated to everyone’s surprise. Unmasked, the artist first emptied her bag about this unprecedented experience before sway backstage from the broadcast to the microphone ofEuropean 1 on August 24th. “How do you get as few people as possible to see you?”, asks the journalist. And some, Marianne James says it all. “We are allocated a person who has sworn on their honor by contract not to say anything and from there it is only that person who pilots you. She calls you ‘baby’, she comes to pick you up at home, you come home with a cap”, she begins by telling. Before continuing: “Already before arriving on the show, on the set, you are already masked, with large glasses, a huge visor. They found an 8XL for me in the US, something black that you put on. We must not see the legs, the shoes.”
Marianne James then delivers the details of the arrival on the set. “As soon as you get to production it’s a huge black umbrella with black fabric all the way through and there’s the person like a barker going ‘baby go to the toilet’, so we kick the thing off and ‘oh no, the alligator is going to come out of it’ and we see through just other parasols with black fabric stretched to the ground, she explains. We’re like mobile little aunts. It’s a ceremonial, it feels like being in China 200 years before Jesus Christ”. With all this information, we almost believe it! And even if Vitaa said that she had tried to conduct her investigation with the doctor who made a big ball while he was examining her, Marianne James assures her, everything is very well established to keep the mystery. “I didn’t know who the others were, really”she concluded.
