Electric vehicles | These models expected soon

Several new products will arrive in showrooms over the coming months, but these five electric vehicles will have more impact. Here’s why.

Audi Q6 e-Tron

We can count on the fingers of one hand the number of technical architectures that the Volkswagen group will use to electrify its eight brands. Four of them will share the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform developed by Porsche and Audi. They will also inaugurate it first with the Macan EV and the Q6 e-Tron in the coming weeks, two crucial launches for the German conglomerate.

Dodge Charger

Dodge is moving forward and bringing its first fully electric vehicle to the streets. The Charger Daytona is the group’s first vehicle to use the modular architecture called STL-A. It has the particularity of also accommodating thermal engines… Indeed, Dodge also intends to offer a turbocharged six-cylinder engine on board this vehicle.

Jeep Recon

Approximately the same size as a Grand Cherokee, the Recon will enrich the Jeep range in the coming months. Fully electric, this mid-size utility vehicle will be based, like the Dodge Charger and the Jeep Wagoneer S, on the Stellantis group’s STL-A platform. Jeep reveals little information on this vehicle, which should begin marketing by the end of the year, shortly after the release of the Wagoneer S.

Mini Cooper

Big year for the Mini brand which is renewing practically its entire range in the space of a few months. Among the new features, let’s remember the second generation of the electric Cooper. This will now be entitled to a platform intended solely to accommodate an electric thruster. This Mini will also be the first model designed under the aegis of Spotlight Automotive Limited, a joint venture between BMW and the Chinese manufacturer Great Wall.

Volvo EX90

Volvo is accelerating its transition to electric. The Swedish brand will market the EX90, a luxury SUV that can accommodate up to seven people on board. This model is based on an evolution of the modular platform of the Chinese group Geely, called SPA2 (Scalable Product Architecture). This encases in its structure a 111 kWh battery, supplied by Northvolt.
