Sunday evening, on the show Everybody talks about it, the leader of the Parti Québécois (PQ) had detailed for several seconds his intentions for the next legislature. “Me, I would like to be a constructive official opposition”, he had declared before changing his mind: “I would definitely like that, to be prime minister”.
Asked Monday morning about his remarks, “PSPP” wanted to clarify the facts. Its main objective is to elect a PQ government. To a journalist who asked him if he was already conceding victory, he replied that “it’s not that [qu’il avait] said”.

The PQ leader will accept the mandate given to him by Quebecers on October 3. “In the event that Quebecers give me the mandate to be leader of the official opposition, it will be a constructive official opposition,” he repeated.
