It passes for the Élan Béarnais! The Palois reach the semi-finals of the Coupe de France for the first time since 2007 and an edition at the time finally won. This Saturday at the Arena Loire in Trélazé, Eric Bartecheky’s players beat Fos-sur-Mer, 93-72, breaking away in a controlled 3rd quarter (30-17). The semi-final will be played this Sunday, in the same room, against an opponent the Palois will not know until very late this Saturday evening after the three other quarter-finals. The other teams still in contention are Strasbourg, Boulogne-Levallois, Monaco, Bourg-en-Bresse, ASVEL and Gravelines-Dunkerque. The semi-final this Sunday will take place at 2.30 p.m. or 5 p.m. for the Élan Béarnais. In the event of another victory, the Elan will advance to the final of the Coupe de France which will take place on April 23 at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris.
