Panic scenes in Sydney. “Several people” were stabbed in a shopping center in Australia’s economic capital, New South Wales police said on Saturday April 13. “A critical incident” took place in the Westfield center in Bondi Junction, police said on Facebook. Victims by stabbing have been reported, as well as“a shooting involving a man”.
“Shortly before 4 p.m. (Saturday 13 April 2024), emergency services were called to Westfield Bondi Junction following reports of several people being stabbed”, traced the local police. “It is strongly recommended to avoid the area,” she also warns. According to witnesses at the scene, an assailant with a knife was ultimately killed by the police. The number of injured has not yet been communicated.
