After the sports sanctions for the two clubs, it is the supporters’ turn to be sanctioned. Eight Parisian “ultras” were notified of an administrative stadium ban (IAS) after the incidents that occurred on December 17 during the 32nd round of the Coupe de France between Paris FC and Lyon.

The Paris Police Prefecture (PP) does not specify whether all are supporters of PSG or whether some support Paris FC. “These bans relate, according to the profile of the supporters, to the matches of PSG, Paris FC, Créteil Lusitanos, Red Star and PSG Handball”, detailed the prefecture which specifies that “some are banned from matches for all these clubs, others only for a few”.

Administrative stadium bans (IAS), introduced in 2006, are decided by the prefect in the event of a threat to public order, i.e. “overall behavior” during sporting events, either “a serious act”, stipulates the sports code. The sanction may be accompanied by an obligation to score at the police station during matches. Questioned on this point by AFP, the PP was not able to specify if this was the case for the eight people concerned.

The National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism (DNLH) listed in mid-December 104 individuals banned from stadiums (one third of administrative bans, two thirds of judicial bans).

The match between Paris FC and Lyon, played at the Charléty stadium, had been definitively stopped at half-time (1-1) example of a long series of incidents in the stands in French stadiums this season. Smoke had been launched around the platform reserved for Lyon supporters and fights had broken out, leading to crowd movements and the deployment of the police. A supporter and a policeman were injured.

On December 27, the disciplinary commission of the French Football Federation (FFF) declared the match lost for the two clubs. Arrested a few days after the match, two Parisian supporters will be tried for meeting violence.
