This Sunday, May 1, in Nîmes, the man had insulted and then attacked the firefighters who had taken care of him for a head injury. He then insulted the police called to the rescue. The Nîmes criminal court condemns him this Wednesday to sixteen months in prison, eight of which are suspended and a probationary sentence of 2 years with an obligation to work, care and compensate the civil parties. The court almost followed the requisitions of the prosecutor who asked him for 18 months in prison, 8 of which were suspended.
The assailant, 31, was intoxicated. He had a head injury when firefighters came to his aid.
