The sky will thunder in the east of France. Météo France placed eight departments on orange alert on Sunday June 26. These are Ain, Doubs, Jura, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Haute-Saône, Vosges and Territoire de Belfort.
In the early evening, these storms will approach the department of Ain and the south of Franche-Comté then will gradually affect the Vosges and Alsace, before evacuating by the North in the middle of the next night. Showers will then persist until Monday morning, specifies the meteorological agency.
These storms will be accompanied by violent phenomena, warns Météo France, with “hail falls”, “high electrical activity”, “gusts of wind up to 80 to 90 km / h” and “high rainfall intensities”.
