The French continue their series of invincibility in the 2024 Six Nations Tournament. Expected by the Welsh in search of a first victory in the competition, the players of Gaëlle Mignot and David Ortiz showed up, Sunday April 21 , by stringing together a fourth victory (40-0) in four games. They pocketed a valuable offensive bonus in the process.
Brilliant in counter-attacks, the French scored six tries (Deshaye, Grisez twice, Ménager, Vernier, M. Feleu). The septist Joanna Grisez showed her speed and instinct with two tries scored after superb interceptions. If the French XV dominated the scrums, the Blue showed weaknesses in touches and carried balls. Black spots that will have to be resolved between now and April 27 and the final meeting which looks like a final against the English.
