Education: the Academy of Versailles is desperately looking for teachers

There are not enough teachers to ensure the next school year. Monday, May 30, an express recruitment took place on several sites of the Academy of Versailles. The objective is to find 700 primary school teachers, or even 600 middle school and high school teachers.

Candidates, ready to change their lives to become teachers, responded to the call for help from the National Education, Monday, May 30. The Academy of Versailles is at the origin of this job datingbecause she lacks arms. It thus offers 2,000 public service contract positions. To apply, and perhaps become a teacher, you have to pass a 30-minute interview. Successful candidates will be called for a second interview and will be able to practice from the start of the school year in September.

“It helps to attract people, and it allows you to go as far as possible in the recruitment process”explains Charline Avenelrector of the Academy of Versailles. Urgent recruitment, because the first results of the teaching competitions are alarming. En mathematics, for 1,035 positions, only 816 candidates passed the written barrier. In German215 positions are vacant, and there are only 83 eligible. Some teachers’ unions are exceptionally calling for the organization of a new competition to recruit full professors, in order to avoid vacancies at the start of the school year.
