In the Landes, CM2 students from the Jacques Prévert school in Vignau spent a morning in their future college. This great leap was skillfully orchestrated by their teacher, Master Fabrice.

The college years are a bit like the end of childhood. CM2 students from the Jacques Prévert school, located in Vignau (Landes), visited their future establishment with their teacher, Fabrice Réchède. In a few months, they will leave the cocoon of their little school in the Landes and their great freedom of movement. That morning, they leave to discover their future college, located 15 kilometers away. On arrival, a change of dimension, the school complex welcomes 1,300 students, from 6th to BTS.

The fear of bullying

After the presentations, you have to discover the labyrinth. Did the Vignau school prepare them well for college? The teachers seem to validate Master Fabrice’s method. “It’s true that when it comes to taking the initiative, they’re comfortable. That’s a plus, they’re quite independent”, recognizes Johann Marciano, a professor of mathematics. The canteen, too, changes in size. “There, that’s a lot of students anyway”, admits a little girl. Once back at school, Master Fabrice reassures them. Harassment is particularly at the heart of fears.
