An educational experiment unlike any other is being carried out by the gendarmerie in Vanves, in the Hauts-de-Seine. The agents proposed to college students to slip into the shoes of a criminal expert.

For the past two months, students from Collège Michelet de Vanves (Hauts-de-Seine) try to solve a fictitious murder, set up by their professor of Sciences and life of the earth. The college students slip into the skin of the investigators, and analyze the clues. This survey is part of a National Education program to give science a playful aspect. That morning, the students tried to rule out certain suspects, thanks to pollen found in footprints.

That day, the National Gendarmerie Research Institute is teaching. College students use the same tools as professionals, such as blue light luminescent powder to reveal fingerprints. Gowns, masks and glasses… them students become scientists. Something to create vocations. This year, around thirty establishments are carrying out their own surveys.
